How NBA Trivia works
- Eight questions, four options each. Exactly one option is right.
- Answer all eight, then press Check answers: the right option turns green with a tick, a wrong pick is outlined red with a cross, and each question shows the fact behind it.
- A new set comes out at midnight UTC, the same for everyone. Unlimited mode deals a new set every round.
The questions come from the infoboxes of English Wikipedia's player articles (CC BY-SA 4.0) for about 500 of the best-known NBA players, and from each franchise's old names. Before every release a script rebuilds the next 400 days of questions and re-checks each one against the raw data: one right option, three provably wrong. A question about a draft is asked only when the player's draft line is complete.
NBA trivia unlimited: questions
What kind of questions are in NBA Trivia?
Which player played for two given teams, which franchise once played under an old name, who went first overall in a draft, which franchise a player spent the most seasons with, his college, the season of his debut and his number of All-Star selections.
How do you know each answer is right?
Every question is built from the players’ English Wikipedia infoboxes (CC BY-SA 4.0), and a script re-checks the next 400 days of questions before each release: exactly one option must be right and the other three provably wrong. Questions about a draft only use players whose draft line is complete.
When does the quiz change?
At midnight UTC, the same eight questions for everyone. Unlimited mode deals a new set every round.
Are seasons written as years?
Debut questions use seasons, written like 2003–04. Old franchise names show the calendar years they cover.
