  2. Type a name and pick it from the list. You have 6 guesses.
  3. Each miss tells you how many of the path's teams that player shared, and unlocks a hint: position, career, height, All-Star selections, college, then initials.
  4. A new daily player at midnight UTC; unlimited mode deals a new one every round.

Old names are shown under today's franchise (Seattle SuperSonics seasons appear as Oklahoma City Thunder, New Jersey Nets seasons as Brooklyn Nets). Years are calendar years: 2003–2010 means the 2003-04 to 2009-10 seasons.

NBA career path: guess the player from his teams: questions

How does the career path game work?

You see the franchises the hidden player played for, in the order he joined them, with the seasons of each spell. Type a name and pick it from the list. After each wrong guess a new hint appears: position, then career years, then height, then All-Star selections, then college, then his initials.

Which players can come up?

Notable players (the NBA Wordle pool) who played for at least three NBA franchises.

Why does a team appear twice?

Because he went back. A gap of a season or more between two spells with the same franchise is shown as two separate stops. Old names count for today’s franchise, so a SuperSonics spell shows as the Oklahoma City Thunder.

When does the daily player change?

At midnight UTC, the same player for everyone. Unlimited mode is not tied to the date.

Is this the official NBA game?

No. AllStar Grid is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the NBA, its teams, the players’ union or any other grid game. Team names and logos are used only to say which franchises a question asks about; the logos are trademarks of their teams.
